Here is the imaginatively named “CS-2 Standard” from RYCA. The name might be boring but the bike certainly isn’t.

With a big single cylinder of 650cc capacity thumping out 30hp and a weight of 160kgs it should be the perfect city bike. Enough power to beat a lame Ninja 300 or single lung CBR250 of the line and around the corner.

A big long comfy seat will see a pillion jump on and then their feet tangled in the real wheel as I can’t see pillion pegs. There is a rack that you could strap a baby to though.

Yeh, I’d rock a RYCA, would you?

Royal Enfield 535 Cafe Racer

Since its first appearance at the International Auto Expo in Delhi, the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cafe Racer has been touring the international motorcycle expo circuit. Originally sporting some fairly high end components this version has had some changes that would lower production costs suggesting it is much closer to the bike that Royal Enfield will be offering to the public next year. The movements of the bike around the globe also suggest that Enfield's primary market for the machine will be on foreign shores, with it's latest appearance taking place at the Long Beach Motorcycle Show in Los Angeles.

The 535cc motor is the same Unit Construction Engine used in the Royal Enfield Lightning which will produce around 30bhp in this set up. Although you're not going to be smashing the Ton (100mph) in record time the Continental GT Cafe Racer will be the most powerful motorcycle in the Enfield lineup. This will undoubtedly have Enfield fans scrambling for their wallets and when combined with this new direction in style could earn the company a lot more interest from US and European buyers.

With only a handful of factory built Cafe Racer styled bikes on the market the Enfield Continental GT may well be the closest alternative to buying a vintage Cafe Racer. Enfield are renowned for the fact that their technology and design has hardly changed for decades so they had a great starting point for the GT. An all new double cradle frame designed specially for the GT has been combined with a revised version of the Thunderbird swingarm along with the Thunderbirds larger forks to produce handling characteristics that are in keeping with it's Cafe Racer appearance. Enfield have also used high performance, gas filled shocks on the bike which were originally Ohlins but now look to have been swapped for a cheaper brand to keep production costs down.

Behind the Scenes of the 2013 Pirelli Calendar

Exclusive, exquisite and desirable, the release each year of the Pirelli calendar is a landmark occasion. It brings together the world’s most beautiful models and most inspirational photographers to create an article of beauty.

It’s a motoring institution.

This year Steve McCurry, the photographer responsible for the iconic Afghan Girl, was given the task of shooting the calendar, and he took it in a completely different direction.

Unfortunately, the recipients of the 2013 Pirelli calendar will not be viewing any nude photos. “When I told the models there would be no nudity, some of them were disappointed,” said casting director Jennifer Starr……..If the models are disappointed that there won’t be any nudity, you better believe the customers won’t be too thrilled either.

L'Allemagne bat la France en Nations Cup

L'Allemagne est décidément quasi imbattable dans la ROC Nations Cup puisqu'elle a déroché ce jour sa sixième victoire consécutive aujourd'hui à Bangkok, dans le Rajamangala Stadium.

Sebastian Vettel et Michael Schumacher -10 titres de Champion du Monde F1 à eux deux-ont battu en finale l'équipe de France composée de Sébastien Ogier, vainqueur de la Race of Champions 2011, et de Romain Grosjean par le score sans appel de deux manches à rien. Les deux allemands ont remporté les dix manches de cette Nations Cup.

Les concurrents se sont expliqués au volant de Audi R8 LMS, de VW Scirocco, de Lamborghini Gallardo, de Toyota GT86, de Buggy ROC, entre autres.

Michael Schumacher a tout d'abord battu Romain Grosjean, Sebastian Vettel parachevant le succès de l'équipe allemande en disposant de Sébastien Ogier.

En demi-finale, les français avaient triomphé du Team All Stars (Tom Kristensen et Jorge Lorenzo) par deux manches à zéro, l'Allemagne éliminant l'Australie (Jamie Whincup et Mike Doohan) sur le même score.

VANNING IS BACK

Vanning. It swept the USA during the 1970s in an explosion of side pipes, murals, and velvet interiors before it disappeared just as fast as it began. For a long time after, custom vans were looked at as embarrassing pieces of the past rather than nostalgic classics. That is changing though. During the last several years, more and more 1970s style custom vans have been popping up at events and at this year’s Mooneyes X-Mas Party there was a separate area dedicated specifically to vintage vans.

You can sense the the increasing popularity of old vans when you see what they sell for these days. They are no Muscle Cars for sure, but sometimes it’s surprising to see how much early models like the Dodge A100 and Ford Econoline go for on Ebay or Craigslist.
