    Rolls Royce Ghost Golden Sunbird

    Rolls Royce Ghost Golden Sunbird
While most of the automotive community is focused on the ongoing 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, British manufactrer Rolls Royce has chosen a diifernet and less glamorous way to lansh its latest creation: Facebook. What we are talking about here is a special one-off version of the Ghost dubbed Golden Sunbird, which will be unleashed in the ever growing Chinese market where RR has recently opened it biggest showroom in the world, the one in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province, which uses 1,200 square meters over two floors (and we would expect to see this new car on display there pretty soon…).
Going back to the Rolls Royce Ghost Golden Sunbird, its real name is actually Chengdu Golden Sun Bird Edition and is blatantly inspired by an ancient ring-shaped artifact almost entirely made of gold that was discovered in China a little more than 10 years ago called - you guessed it - Golden Sun Bird and found near the town of Chengdu.
As the name suggests, this car shows off great opulence and comes with several bits made of white porcelain and solid gold, the same materials that were used to create its pretty impctful livery. The extreme luxury can obviously be found in the cabin too, where the Golden Sun Bird theme continues with plenty of top-notch materials, details and finishing. Just as a reminder, the Ghost is positined just below the Phantom in the Rolls-Royce range and is pushed by a 6.6-liter V12 producing 570 horsepower. We think the Rolls Royce Ghost Golden Sunbird is a liittle too flashy for our taste, but then again we are not Chinese millionaires…

Moto GP ; Lorenzo laments braking and spinning issues, while Rossi wants a podium at Misano

    Yamaha 2013 Misano Qualifying
There was nothing that Jorge Lorenzo could do to stop Marc Marquez from taking an ‘unbelievable’ pole position at Misano this afternoon.
The Yamaha rider who is lamenting braking and spinning issues on his M1 despite the new seamless gearbox couldn’t bridge the 0.513s gap to the record breaking Repsol Honda rider, but he believes that Marquez’ pace is slightly different than a single hot lap.
“I can be happy with second, but we are quite far from pole. Marc did an unbelievable lap and we couldn’t even be close to him. I expected to struggle less this weekend and go faster than last year but I couldn’t be faster and I couldn’t improve the bike so much. We are struggling to stop the bike in braking and we have more spinning than normal in acceleration – that is why the lap time is not great,” said Lorenzo.

“We will keep trying to change the bike and tomorrow we have the last change in the warm-up. But anyway even with the feeling now we are second with quite good pace and the seamless is good news for us.It was a pity not to have it at Indianapolis, Brno and Silverstone, because I think at the moment - maybe we will improve tomorrow - we were more competitive than here. But now is the time to have it and we will try to improve it from this race. I will try to make a good start tomorrow and maybe the best strategy is to follow Marc and see how our performance is during the race.
If his team mate is lamenting problems Valentino Rossi for the first time isn’t, and is hailing his M1 as ‘fantastic’ following his qualifying in third. Rossi hasn’t been on the podium since Laguna Seca and now he wants a podium at Misano, in front of all his friends and family.
“I am very happy, very satisfied with yesterday and today because we worked very well during the practice, I was always strong and we improved the setting step by step,” said Rossi. “This afternoon my bike was fantastic; it had a great setting with a lot of grip. With the second tyre I was alone with no traffic and I pushed very much from the first corner with a great feeling with the bike and I improved my lap time a lot.
“I’m so happy because it’s very important to start on the front row tomorrow, because Marc and Dani are very fast and also Lorenzo is very strong and very fast. Tomorrow I want to arrive on the podium so starting with them from the beginning is very important, to go with them in the first laps, and fight for it. I want a great race and I want to be on the podium.”
Rossi praised the new gearbox again that is making riding more easy.

“It’s great to ride with the seamless, it is a lot more easy and a lot more precise. It will help especially for the race, 28 laps, because it is less demanding to ride. But it is not just the gearbox, it is also the track - for me it is important to make a good result and I’m always strong here at Misano.
The Italian unveiled a special helmet on this morning. The graphics were more serious than usual and Rossi said it was dedicated to ‘Sic’ [Marco Simoncell] and to the Misano circuit that is dedicated to the late rider. Rossi said he chose the Pink Floyd, “I wish you were here” because he listens to it often and it reminds him of Marco.

TRIUMPH THRUXTON CAFE RACER – MCCLANE BY GARAGE PROJECT MOTORCYCLES

    POSTED BY MOTO VERSO

Garage Project Motorcycles are one of my favourite garages producing really sweet bikes with a really cool style. The latest bike is this amazing Triumph Thruxton Cafe Racer called the McClane. Based in Perth, Australia The Garage Project they have produced one sweet looking cafe racer with all the classic features you;d expect to see but still with there modern twist and cool street style that I really love. I’ve featured two of the Garage Project’s work before and they have always got a lot of love but I think this is by far and away there finest build to date. It’s got real class and bags full of character that make it a totally unique custom bike that doesn’t follow trends.
The long custom quilted leather seat sits so well on the Thruxton and compliments the naked metal tank. The Thruxton is a big muscular bike with a mean stance and a real presence. The Bridgestone Spitfires look amazing and as simple as a tyre is it can really make a huge different when you get it right. The messed head light looks really cool too, nothing to say that these are only for scramblers!

Alfa Romeo 4C and Others Live @ 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show

Alfa Romeo 4C Live at 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show
We can’t get enough of the Alfa Romeo 4C and the show stealing sports car is writing a lot of the headlines at the 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show. Thanks for the carbon fibre safety cell and aluminium crash structure this is a light and safe sports car. But no one at the Frankfurt event will be asking questions about the car’s safety or its weight when it looks great and performs even better.
Power comes from a free-revving 1.8 litre four-cylinder turbo which is also made from aluminium. The output is 240bhp and 260 lb-ft of torque which create a 0-62mph time of 4.5 seconds. The power’s delivered to the rear wheels through a twin-clutch six-speed transmission and double wishbone suspension with MacPherson struts help the Alfa sports car put the power down. The show car sits on serious rubber with P205/40R18 at the front and P235/35R19 on the rear. The interior is made from the finest materials and focused on the driver. The seats are designed to keep the driver in place during hard cornering but remain comfortable at all times. There’s 107 litres of space within for storage so this is a reasonably practical sports car.
There’s also space on Alfa’s stand for the 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta which has been modified to now include new exterior colours, redesigned alloys and new seats. Power comes from a 2.0 litre JTDM MultiJet engine which produces 150bhp and 206 lb-ft of peak torque.
