    Abarth announces dedicated heritage arm

Taking inspiration from such certification programmes as Ferrari’s Classiche and Aston Martin’s Assured Provenance, Abarth has revealed its own dedicated heritage arm, entitled the Officine Abarth Classiche…

    Preservation

The new service involves the careful restoration of historic road and race Abarths, and the certification of their mechanical authenticity. Housed in a dedicated 1,000-square-foot workshop at the Abarth factory in Turin, the programme is also open to Abarth-tuned Fiats, Lancias, Alfa Romeos and Cisitalias, which will result in, ultimately, a comprehensive Abarth registry. Anneliese Abarth, the widow of the company’s late founder, Carlo Abarth, has been named a brand ambassador and, as with Enzo Ferrari, Carlo’s office has been faithfully recreated as a reminder of the brand’s roots.
