After a long and grueling week of competition with 2148 km of racing for the Cross Country and 1652 km for the Extreme, the Breslau Poland Off road rallye 2015 wrote another significant chapter in the book of the off-road world.

Alexander Kovatchev, the director of the race looked for an improvement for this year. It was important for the cross country class to have a racetrack of their own, no mud pits and extreme special stages. That was a success. On the other side, extreme class cars and trucks got what they wanted – ultra extreme stages.
The old days of Breslau were back!

Participants of Breslau Poland 2015, which took place from 27th of June to 4th of July, gathered for the start of the race in Germany not far from Lipzia. The first camp was set up inside the large open pit mine of Profen, famous for the Baja Deutschland. Three special stages were held in the mine.

The caravan made its way to Poland on Monday. And again, the old days of Breslau were back. Senftenberg hasn’t hosted the race for ten years and despite the bureaucratic problems, Kovatchev managed to get this location and organized a great special stage suitable for evey participant.

Lazer Lamps Challenge sponsored the night stage in Biedrusko. 72 km of adrenaline charged mud and sand.
From here, camp after camp, adrenaline escalated with special stages increasingly challenging and immersed in the fantastic landscape of Poland. The Cross Country and Extreme have had even more than what they expected and they all struggled to get to the last day of competition and try to get the best finish possible.

Jim Marsden (UK) and Wayne Smith (AUS) – Team Gigglepin dominated throughout the race by winning every special stage except the night test; Jim and Wayne after four attempts in previous years have deservedly taken home this important win in the Extreme car class. In Cross Country class the fight was
very close between all the crews; in the end only three were in contention for the podium and the German crew (father and son) took the win from the Israelis.
