    Words Pete Cagnacci
The holy celebration of everything that is custom, otherwise known as Throttle Roll, is about to hit the streets again, and this time quite literally. Overgrowing it’s home at The Vic Enmore, Throttle Roll has now secured an entire street to play with in what will be the street party of the year. Celebrating its fourth year, the Throttle Roll Street Party will overtake Railway Parade Marrickville on June 12th this long weekend with all the bits and pieces that have had the event such a success, along with so much more.

It’s more than just the custom bikes, as a killer line up of bands will be playing throughout the day belting out everything from Rock, Blues, and Rockabilly. The lineup includes The Snowdroppers, Pat Capocci, Frank Sultana & The Sinister Kids, Deep South & Down, The Drey Rollan Band, Wes Pudsey & The Sonic Aces, Los Tones, and The Persian drugs. There’ll also be DJ’s to keep the party flowing in between sets. To keep those stomachs from grumbling, a ton of fine food is on offer from Bovine & Swine, Happy As Larry, Tsuru and Fired up. You can then wash it all down with some beer from Young Henrys or coffee from Rising Sun.

There will be also more bikes on display as over 60 custom motorcycles from garages and sheds around Australia proudly show off their work, from home builds to professional workshops. The famous ‘wall of scaffolding’ will have a huge variety of café racers, bobbers, choppers, trackers, scramblers and the undefinables. A battalion of over 250 bikes from the mornings Throttle Roll ride will also be parked in the venue, meaning you’ll have more bikes to enjoy than you could poke a stick at (stick poking of bikes is not suggested).
The best part about Throttle Roll is that you don’t need to be a motorcycling enthusiast to have a great time, there’s a bit of everything for everyone. The event is still pet friendly, and family friendly with kids under 12 getting free entry. Tickets can be purchased online now for $15 at www.throttleroll.com or $20 at the door. See you there!
