Climb astride this 1979 BMW K100 café racer, a true black beauty

Looking like it just left the set of a Mad Max movie, this sinister all-black BMW K100 custom is a one-of-a-kind stripped-back café racer.
Powered by a longitudinally mounted, 1,000cc four-cylinder engine, producing around 90bhp in standard form, this shaft-driven K100 is an unusual choice for such a renegade-inspired ride.

    Stripped back for maximum thrills

The removal of all fairings and the standard headlight creates a daring look that could cause quite a reaction from other motorists and pedestrians. We think it’s fair to say that you won’t find many other BMWs like this. The BMW’s ageing electrical system is also cleverly replaced by modern electronics: minimalist speedometer, tachometer and flashing handlebar-end indicators are highly creative solutions to the fussy-looking originals. It all combines to give the bike a light and sporty elegance, albeit with rugged off-road tyres fitted.

Later a good friend was turning 50, so Steve made an artwork of his 911 GT3 as a gift. Upon receiving the gift his friend exclaimed “You’ve got to start selling these!”, and so Steve has!
“I’ve conceded that it’s never going to be a big money maker, which to be honest is OK. The upside is that I’m talking on a daily basis to like minded people, it’s kind of like heading to a Cars and Coffee meet every day.”
He creates high-end bespoke design pieces for like-minded car enthusiasts with an eye for design. Each work is made to order and drawn from scratch.

Dramatic moment a £4million 1955 Mercedes crashed into a £1million 1959 Jaguar during race at Goodwood track

Check out these incredible images of the moment Jochen Mass, driving a Mercedes SLS 300 ‘Porter Special’, worth an estimated £4million, crashes into the back of Tony Wood’s Lister-Jaguar Knobbly at Goodwood.
There has been the usual differences of opinion on who is to blame. The accident occurred during qualifying as Wood was entering the pits. Thankfully neither driver was hurt.
A spokesman for Goodwood Motorsport said “Unfortunately, neither car was able to be repaired in time to take part in Sunday’s race and neither driver was able to take any further part in the on-track action.”

The Mercedes is unique, having been created by a US mechanic in the 1950s, and it is feared it will be difficult to restore to its former glory
The Jaguar fared equally badly in the accident and was left with the rear badly twisted into the air and damage to both sets of wheels
