Leon Haslam tests Honda Superbike at Assen

Leon Haslam will be riding for Pata Honda Workd Superbike team next season and after getting permission from BMW Motorrad, the British rider went straight to work for his new squad as he tested the CBR1000RR today at Assen, the team’s home circuit.

German website Speedweek managed to talk to Ronald ten Kate about Haslam’s test (Haslam is still under contract with BMW until the end of the month) and the Dutch team manager reported that the test went well, “There were no crashes, no problems, we were able to try a lot of things. After the test, Leon had a broad grin on his face, as the guys from the team. That’s always a good sign. It wasn’t about doing fast lap times We let Leon test lot of stuff and show him what we can do with the bike. The bike was more or less the same as the one used at Magny-Cours. We started with 16.5-inch wheels and then moved onto the 17 inch ones as they are mandatory next year, ”

Haslam lapped in 1:37.5 (he qualified 5th at Assen with the same time) but he was hampered by his injuries from the last round and wasn’t 100% fit, “We could see that Leon could be only 90 percent. Nevertheless, we were very pleased,” concluded ten Kate.

WEC FUJI, TESTS : TOYOTA ET AUDI SE PARTAGENT LES SÉANCES.

Deux séances d'essais privés étaient au menu des concurrents du Championnat du Monde d'Endurance sur le tracé du Fuji Speedway. Le plus rapide de la matinée a été Kazuki Nakajima, au volant de la Toyota TS030 HYBRID #7. Sur ses terres, le pilote japonais a tourné en 1.29.088, soit 676 millièmes de mieux qu'Allan McNish au volant de l'Audi R18 e-tron quattro #2. Sur la R18 e-tron quattro #1, André Lotterer a bouclé la séance matinale au 3ème rang, devant Peter Dumbreck sur la HPD ARX-03a/JRM Racing. Pour son retour à la compétition, la OAK-Pescarolo désormais motorisée par HPD a pris le 6ème temps, Takuma Sato étant le plus vite de l'équipage. Chez Rebellion Racing, seule la Lola-Toyota #12 a pris la piste, avec Jani/Prost. Pas de roulage pour la voiture sœur, ni pour la HPD ARX-03a/Strakka Racing. En LMP2, Stéphane Sarrazin s'est montré à son aise au volant de la HPD ARX-03b/Starworks Motorsport, l'Alésien devançant Olivier Pla sur la Morgan 2012 LMP2/OAK Racing, le troisième temps revenant à la ORECA 03/Pecom Racing. Une seule GTE-Pro en piste, avec l'Aston Martin Vantage V8/AMR de Mücke/Turner et 54 tours couverts. La Ferrari F458 Italia/Krohn Racing a été la plus rapide en GTE-Am, devant la Porsche 911 GT3-RSR/JWA-Avila et les deux Corvette C6.R/Larbre Compétition.

Audi a pris le dessus lors de la session de l'après-midi, André Lotterer tournant en 1.29.073. Les deux R18 e-tron quattro ont d'ailleurs trusté les deux premières places, avec Tom Kristensen à 57 millièmes. Kazuki Nakajima s'est une nouvelle fois montré le plus vite de l'équipage de la Toyota TS030 HYBRID à 104 millièmes de l'Audi #1. JRM Racing, OAK Racing et Rebellion Racing suivent dans la hiérarchie. La ORECA 03/ADR-Delta a retrouvé le haut de l'affiche avec John Martin devant Matthieu Lahaye (OAK Racing) et James Rossiter (Lola/Lotus LMP2). Viennent ensuite Starworks Motorsport, Pecom Racing, Greaves Motorsport, Signatech-Nissan, G-Drive by Signatech-Nissan et Gulf Racing Middle East. Aston Martin Racing était une nouvelle fois seul en piste en GTE-Pro, alors que le Krohn Racing a une nouvelle fois bouclé la session aux commandes du GTE-Am devant les Corvette/Larbre Compétition et la Porsche/JWA-Avila.

Gangnam Style and motorcycles parody video

If you’ve never seem South Korean Pys ‘Gangnam Style’ video then you’ve been living in a cave with out electricity in these last months. ‘Gangnam Style’ is the most clicked video in YouTube (the original video has over 412 million viewers) as it raced across the social networks and naturally dozens and dozens of PSY parodies have also the hit the web.

Check out this latest parody done by Mexican motorcycle website Revista 400 so it involves motorcycles and sexy ladies- at least these guys won’t be fired from their jobs like those El Monte, California lifeguards were over their spoof of the “Gangnam Style” music video.
