KTM European Junior Cup is cancelled but riders rewarded

The 2nd round of the KTM European Junior Cup ran slightly later than scheduled due to heavy rain showers at the historical circuit of Monza in Northern Italy earlier today.

As the riders started lap 3 the rain once again began to fall heavily. At the front the leading bunch showed no sign of slowing as four a breast into turn one they went. Thankfully they all made it through without incident however the organisers stopped the race for safety reasons deeming the weather conditions too dangerous for the race to continue.

With the race not reaching half distance the decision to cancel the race was made meaning no podium celebrations and no points would be awarded.
