    ROLEX MONTEREY MOTORSPORTS REUNION – THE BEAUTY IN WEAR AND TEAR

    Every August, the Monterey area of California experiences an influx of automobiles from eras passed. Pre-war machines are oiled up and emerge from their hiding places.

    Gedinne, a char­ming lit­tle vil­lage at the bor­ders of a nice pad­dock. On the edge of that pas­to­ral pad­dock a beau­ti­ful road that climbs and des­cends, tur­ning left and right, and which, for­ced by the logics of ben­ding and swee­ping in all kinds of direc­tions, ends up where it first star­ted. Which turns out to be very prac­ti­cal when you want to lap that road on your motor­cycle. Lap­ping this road seve­ral conse­cu­tive times you end up having a race, a beau­ti­ful race, a hot race! As eve­ry­body wants the che­que­red flag first all ends up in the heat of the fight. And because of that heat they get thirsty, so some of them decide to mount a tent, put some tables and chairs in it, and a bar, of course.
    Need­less to say that those guys were Bel­gian adepts of clas­sic racing motor­cycles. So they foun­ded a club they named CRMB (Clas­sic Racing Motor­cycles Bel­gium). An English name yes, because as good Bel­gians they thought it sounds bet­ter that way.
    We’d like you to know that the races are open to all pre 1972 motor­cycles and that you can take a one-off licence for this event, so there’s no excuse not to come and join us in the most beau­ti­ful race of the year at the most beau­ti­ful Bel­gian race­track . Pass the mes­sage and see you all in Gedinne!


    WEC – Doublé Audi à Bahreïn


    Première ligne 100% Audi à Barheïn


    Audi se reprend après la défaite infligée par Toyota à Sao Paulo en signant le doublé aux 6 Heures de Bahreïn. La R18 e-tron quattro n°1 de Tréluyer-Fässler-Lotterer s'impose avec deux tours d'avance sur la voiture sœur n°2 de McNish-Kristensen. La Toyota TS030 de Lapierre-Wurz a tout perdu dans une sortie de piste consécutive à un contact avec la HPD ARX-03a du Strakka Racing qui complète ainsi le podium. Devant les deux Lola B12/60 Coupé-Toyota du Rebellion Racing.


    PeCom Racing décroche la victoire en LMP2 avec l'Oreca 03-Nissan de Kaffer-Perez Companc-Minassian. Signatech-Nissan retrouve le chemin du podium avec l'Oreca 03 n°23 de Mailleux-Tresson-Lombard. Starworks Motorsport complète le podium avec la HPD ARX-03b de Sarrazin-Kimber Smith-Potolicchio.

    La victoire en GTE Pro revient à la F458 Italia n°51 d'AF Corse emmenée par Vilander-Fisichella qui devance l'Aston Martin V8 Vantage de Turner-Mücke et la Porsche 911 RSR 997 du Team Felbermayr Proton de Lieb-Lietz-Adam. L'écurie allemande s'impose en GTE Am avec la Porsche de Ried-Roda-Ruberti.
