    Mercedes Ladies: Benz appeal

Classic Porsches and Ferraris have that indefinable something: that little bit extra that makes men and women fall head over heels in love with the sensuous curves of a 911, or the masculine cut-and-thrust of a Testarossa. But what about Mercedes? We have searched for the unique erotic appeal of the three-pointed star.

And in our opinion, it’s not the luxuriously appointed saloons that suggest the hottest metal but the elegant, open-topped Mercedes sports cars; as these few photographs so amply demonstrate.

Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution II to race at Pikes Peak

     Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution II 16.05.2013

    All-electric prototype

Mitsubishi has revealed plans to race the MiEV Evolution II electric prototype at 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
The vehicle is 4870mm long, 1900mm wide and 1390mm tall and has a specially-developed pipe-frame chassis and a carbon cowl. It comes with four electric motors (two front + two rear) which together provide a maximum output of 400 kW (4 x 100 kW), while the battery has a capacity of 50 kWh and is mounted under the floor to allow a lower center of gravity.

Those four electric motors work together with Mitsubishi's own Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) and the Active Yaw Control (AYC) which optimally controls the yaw moment to generate the best cornering capabilities. Active Stability Control (ASC) is also on board to improve stability by controlling brake force automatically to one or more wheels.
Mitsubishi will filed two MiEV Evolution II electric prototypes which will be driven by two-time Dakar Rally overall champion Hiroshi Masuoka and six-time Pikes Peak motorcycle champion Greg Tracy.
