MotoGP, Le Mans: here come the paddock girls

Grid Girls MotoGP Le Mans 2013
    via TWOWHEELSBLOG
The French Grand Prix is over, and as usual we would like to close that chapter with our usual photo gallery starring some of the nicest ladies spotted around the historic Le Mans circuit. This time around we provided you with quite a juicy anticipation in the form of a Monster Girls gallery we put out on saturday, but we have saved the best for last.
Dani Pedrosa surely did a great job in Le Mans winning the race in great fashion in front of a simply heroic Cal Crutchlow and an increasigly confident team mate Marc Marquez, but emotions were not experienced on the track only: just take a look at our 82-image strong photo gallery of the charming beauties that tried to heat up the MotoGP show in spite of the pretty cold conditions of the French track. We suggest you pay attention to it as there are some exclusive pictures in there you won’t be able to see anywhere else.
The next round of the MotoGP Championship will take pace on June 2 at the Mugello circuit, in Italy, where we expect to see some pretty lovely Italian beauty, but before that we will get the chance to see some charming English Rose from the WSBK round in Donington Park, so stay tuned for more of the same.

Brough Superior goes back to the Bonneville Salt Flats

Revival supported the official manufacturer Brough Superior to take this pre-war marque back to the Bonneville Salt Flats for the first time in 62 years. We were there to be there and only hoped of returning home safely and experiencing the ride......it turned into much much more.
By far the best part of this video is that nothing was staged. The camera simply captured what happened that week on the salt.revivalcycles.com

Art vs. Cars: Which would you choose?

Assuming you have, say, a cool 40 million US dollars to spend, would you head straight for a Sotheby’s art auction, or would you want something you could drive, rather than simply look at? We thought we’d give you the chance to browse in both markets… and decide for yourself where you’d allocate your dream millions.

Newman or Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic?

This deceptively simple 1953 oil on canvas painting by Barnett Newman sold at Sotheby’s in New York this month for almost USD 44 million. Meanwhile, according to market gossip, the bizarrely beautiful Bugatti would set you back something along the lines of USD 30-40 million.

    Richter or Ferrari 250 GTO?

Painted by Gerhard Richter in 1968, this oil on canvas work depicts Cathedral Square in Milan, and sold at Sotheby’s for a little over USD 37 million. Those in the market for such a purchase might also crave what is arguably the most coveted Ferrari of all time – the stunning 250 GTO.

Koons or Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato?

‘The New Jeff Koons’ by – unsurprisingly – Jeff Koons is a portrait in the form of a fluorescent lightbox, which Sotheby’s sold for a touch over USD 9.4 million. Or do you prefer Zagato’s curvaceously gorgeous version of the Aston Martin DB4 GT?

    Calder or Porsche 550?

Titled ‘Martigues’, this painted metal and wire mobile by Alexander Calder was catalogued by Sotheby’s with a USD 1.5 to 2 million estimate, but sold for 2.74m. The Porsche 550 Spyder, meanwhile, is styled low-to-the-ground for practical, not just aesthetic reasons: better aerodynamics and a lower centre of gravity – its beauty was almost a by-product.

    Wesselmann or Ferrari Enzo?

‘Mouth #3’ is the name of this oil on canvas artwork by Tom Wesselmann that sold at Sotheby’s for USD 1.085 million. In the same ballpark price-wise, and just as attention-grabbing, is that familiar object of desire, the Ferrari Enzo.
