The provisional leader of the 2013 World Rally Championship was the guest of Red Bull, Volkswagen’s sponsor in the WRC, and got to meet this year’s Formula 1 pace-setter Sebastian Vettelprior to the Monaco Grand Prix. The German driver talked him through the Red Bull RB9 and invited Ogier to sit behind the wheel of the show-car on display in the Red Bull pits.A foretaste of the real thing one day?
Sébastien Ogier later dined with Cameron Diaz and Leonardo di Caprio at a function organised by Tag Heueron a yacht moored in Monaco. The American actress is currently filming ‘The Other Woman’ but took a break to attend the Cannes Festival, and accepted an invitation from the Swiss watchmaker for whom Ogierhas been an ambassador since 2011. The dinner was also attended by SAS Prince Albert II, Romain Grosjean, Alain Prost, Jenson Button and Sergio Perez.

Actuellement en tournage du film The Other Woman, l’actrice américaine s’est offert un break au Festival de Cannes et répondu à l’invitation de la marque suisse Tag Heuer dont « Seb » Ogier est un des ambassadeurs depuis 2011. SAS le Prince Albert II, Leonardo di Caprio, Romain Grosjean, Alain Prost, Jenson Button, Sergio Perez étaient également de la fête.
Le lendemain matin, Sébastien Ogier a disputé la course de Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup au volant d’une Porsche 911 GT3 Cup aux couleurs de Tag Heuerdont la déco Pop Art célébrait le 50eanniversaire de la collection de montres et chronographes Carrera. Qualifié en 14e position, Sébastien Ogier est parvenu à gagner une place pour se classer au milieu du peloton, 13esur 26. Le Français a terminé à 31.637 secondes de son équipier Sean Adwards vainqueur de l’épreuve, et trois places devant son rival en WRC Sébastien Loeb.
Après ce week-end très pince-fesses à Monaco, « Seb » Ogier sera de retour au volant de sa Volkswagen Polo R WRC cette semaine sur les pistes du Rallye de l’Acropole. Beaucoup plus poussiéreux et nettement moins glamour…
