ODD JOB SR542 BY DEUS EX MACHINA

Odd Job SR542 by Deus Ex Machina 7 1024x682 Odd Job SR542 by Deus Ex Machina
Odd Job was one of the more iconic Bond villains, his razor lined bowler hat and enormous Japanese girth gave him an exceptional sense of menace.
Deus chose the 007 moniker for this, their bored out 542cc SR400, and it isn’t hard to see why. This is a very menacing, very big bellied Japanese chap.
Deus fitted big Brembo brakes up front and new forks, they also added a custom fuel tank, seat and rear cowling with a new exhaust and they stripped the frame down nicely. The big, chunky flat tracker tires are designed to manage well on tarmac, gravel and beach sand, making this a go anywhere bike more than most in the genre.
It’s for sale now, you can check it out via Deus here.

A voir absolument !

    video-nurburgring-citroen-ax-10-minutes

1965 FORD MUSTANG 289 RACING CAR

    1965 Ford Mustang
This ’65 Ford Mustang is the result of a careful rebuild at the hands of Rae Davis Racing, an English company famed for its work rebuilding historic racing cars to modern FIA standards.
It’s fitted with a rebuilt 289 cubic inch V8 and has a six-point roll cage by Caged Manufacturing Ltd., the interior features a Cobra Evolution pro seat with TRS race belts, a Lifeline plumbed fire extinguisher system and ignition cut-off and a caged cockpit-mounted Varley Red Top dry cell battery. The traditional deep-dish racing wheel frames a steering-column mounted Stack racing rev counter, the dash also has Racetech water temperature and oil pressure gauges with a shift-light mounted on top.
The exterior of the car is painted in period-correct Ford France colours, the side windows are both lightweight perspex and it all sits on new five-spoke alloy wheels shod in Dunlop Racing M-section tyres.
There aren’t many FIA certified racing Mustangs in Europe and this one comes with UK road registration and its FIA HTP papers, making it an excellent acquisition for lovers of classic American muscle. The car’s first outing since its restoration took place at the Goodwood Festival 2013 with former Formula 1 driver Rupert Keegan at the wheel, it’s now being offered with shakedown mileage and will be auctioned in Paris on the 5th of February 2014 by RM Auctions.

    YAMAHA XJ750 BY AD HOC

    Yamaha XJ750
David Gonzales is one of those low-key, under-the-radar builders, slowly creating a portfolio of stylish and slightly unusual bikes. Ten months ago we covered his classyMoto Morini 350; it’s now a pleasure to show his latest build, this angular 1983 Yamaha XJ750.
The XJ750 Seca was a rather odd machine when it launched. Despite the cruiser-ish looks, it was pitched as a high-tech sport bike, with revolutionary anti-dive forks and LEDs galore in the instrument panel. It has not aged well, but Gonzales’ makeover has given the old girl a new lease of life—with the help of extensive sandblasting and powdercoating.

Working in his hideout in the hills above Barcelona, Spain, Gonzales stripped the bike and refreshed the engine, which was in good condition. It’s now sporting a tank from a Derbi 2002, a small but elegant machine from the 1970s. The seat unit is from a Yamaha TZ, with an aftermarket Gonelli light now embedded in the tail.

The suspension has been shortened at the front to improve the stance, with Betor gas shocks installed at the rear. The tires are Avon Roadriders—grippy, but with a suitably vintage vibe.
The ancillaries have been tidied up with a complete electrical and brake system overhaul, and the controls have been upgraded with GSX-R rearsets and new bars and levers. And if the headlight looks familiar, that’s because it’s from a Suzuki Bandit.
    Yamaha XJ750
Gonzales is gaining a reputation as someone who can make even the most ungainly bike look good, and he’s done a sterling job with this Yamaha. If you’ve seen a better looking XJ750 elsewhere, drop us a line.
