BRITISH GT Silverstone : doublé des Aston Martin Vantage GT3

Les concurrents du British GT étaient ce week-end à Silverstone pour la troisième manche du Championnat 2014. Les Aston Martin Vantage GT3 ont fait un doublé dans le Northamptonshire, avec la deuxième victoire de la saison pour Ahmad Al Harthy et Michael Caine (Aston Martin Oman Racing Team n°4).

Les deux hommes ont gagné cette troisième manche avec une avance confortable de près d’une minute sur leurs seconds, le champion 2013 Andrew Howard et Jonny Adam (Aston Martin Beechdean AMR n°1).

Initialement, Steven Kane, à bord de la Bentley Continental GT3 M-Sport n°17 dont il partage le volant avec Rembert Berg, avait terminé troisième, mais les commissaires lui ont infligé une pénalité de 30 secondes après la course pour un contact dont il a été jugé responsable avec la BMW Z4 n°79 de l’Ecurie Ecosse de Marco Attard et Alexander Sims qui ont donc hérité de cette troisième place.

Nouvelle victoire Ginetta en GT4, la Ginetta G55 n°46 du Twisted Team Parker de Adrian Barwick et Bradley Ellis l’a emporté de haute lutte devant la Ginetta n°41 du team Optimum pilotée par Ryan Ratcliffe et Matt Draper, la Vantage GT4 TF Sport n°49 de Andrew Jarman et Devon Modell prenant la troisième place.
