WTCC Pékin : HUFF et CHILTON prennent leurvictoire , Lopez toujours leader

Course 1 – Chilton de bout en bout

« Absolument fabuleux ! » Tom Chilton utilisa les bons mots pour décrire sa sensationnelle victoire acquise en Course 1 à Pékin.

Le Britannique a surpris son monde ce matin en décrochant la pole position et se montra tout simplement intouchable en course. Une longue neutralisation survenue dans le troisième tour, provoquée par un accident entre Borkovic et Münnich, réduisit d’abord à néant son avance de quatre secondes, mais cela n’a pas perturbé sa marche victorieuse.

Yvan Muller et José-Maria Lopez, le leader du championnat du monde, complètent le podium, le Français ayant assuré sa position dès le départ lorsqu’il déborda Gabriele Tarquini. L’Italien perdit ensuite sa troisième place dans les derniers tours, victime indirecte de l’incursion hors piste de Ma Qing Hua. La course du héros local se termina en effet dans le mur de pneus. Franz Engstler, pour sa part, remporte un nouveau succès dans la catégorie TC2T.

Départ – Chilton prend un départ parfait, tandis que Muller passe Tarquini pour la 2^e place. Ma remonte grâce à plusieurs dépassements sur l’extérieur.
Tour 1 – Chilton mène avec deux secondes d’avance sur Muler, Tarquini, López, Loeb et Michelisz
Tour 3 – Accident entre Münnich et Borković dans la ligne droite opposée. La voiture de sécurité est déployée car les deux Chevrolet ont percuté le rail.

Tour 12 – Morbidelli et Michelisz passent Loeb pour le gain de la 5^eplace. Ma est 9^e après avoir débordé Huff
Tour 14 – Monteiro (11^e) rejoint son stand après avoir été percuté par un concurrent
Tour 16 – Chilton mène avec 4’’7 d’avance sur Muller, Tarquini, López, Morbidelli, Michelisz et Loeb
Tour 17 – Ma passe Thompson, il est 8^e
Tour 23 – Ma vire large entre les virages n°10 et 11 et perd trois places. Il percute une pile de pneus qui rebondit sur la piste et percute Coronel
Tour 24 –Tarquini s’arrête à son tour après avoir roulé sur des débris

Course 2 – Lada et Huff prennent le pouvoir !

LADA a écrit l’histoire aujourd’hui en remportant sa toute première victoire en FIA WTCC.

Beaucoup de drapeaux rouges ont flotté sur le Goldenport Park de Pékin pour célébrer ce moment tant attendu.

Cela s’est produit grâce à Rob Huff qui prit un départ parfait depuis la pole position de la grille inversée et contrôla ensuite la course. Le Britannique a été suivi comme son ombre par Tom Coronel qui offre un excellent résultat au ROAL Motorsport. Sébastien Loeb complète le podium devant José María López, lequel prend quelques points supplémentaires à Yvan Muller dans la course au titre.

James Thompson, 6^e, grapille des points supplémentaires à LADA et Franz Engstler rmeporte une nouvelle victoire dans la catégorie TC2T après avoir effectué un tête à queue à mi-course.

Tour 14 – Un groupe compact se forme derrière Thompson et une belle bagarre s’engage avec Morbidelli et Chilton, avec Muller et Tarquini en ambuscade
Tour 16 – López déloge Michelisz de la 4^e place 
Tour 17 – L’avantage de Huff est de 4 secondes
Tour 18 – Engstler reprend le leadership en TC2T au détriment de Filippi ; grosse bagarre, devant, pour la 12^e place, entre Ma et Monteiro
Tour 25 – Morbidelli dépasse Chilton pour la 7^e place et a devance Monteiro
Tour 26 – Coronel se rapproche de Huff dans les derniers kilomètres, mais l’Anglais a la course en main, pour la plus grande joie du team LADA Sport

Race 1 – Chilton from lights to flag

“Absolutely fabulous!” Tom Chilton had the right words to describe his sensational win in Race 1 at Beijing.

The Brit had surprised everybody taking the pole in the morning and was simply unapproachable during the race. A long safety-car period as from lap 3, caused by an accident between Borković and Münnich, which provisionally cancelled Chilton’s 4-second advantage, didn’t impact at all on the his composure.
Yvan Muller and championship leader José María López completed the podium for Citroën, with the Frenchman securing second as from the start when he passed Tarquini. The Italian lost third in the closing laps, falling as an indirect victim of Ma’s off-track. The race of the local Chinese star ended when he went wide and hit the tire wall. Franz Engstler won once again among TC2 contenders.

Lap 16 – Chilton leads with 4.7 seconds ahead of Muller, Tarquini, López, Morbidelli, Michelisz and Loeb
Lap 17 – Ma passes Thompson for 8^th
Lap 23 – Ma goes wide off-track between turns 10 and 11 and loses three positions; the Citroën hits a stack of tyres that bounces back on the track and is collected by Coronel.
Lap 24 – Also Tarquini stops in the pits, after running on some debris
Lap 28 – Chilton wins ahead of Muller and López, while Valente drops out of the points with a flat front right tyre

Race 2 – Lada and Huff take the power!

LADA made history by taking its first ever win in the FIA WTCC.

And there were a lot of red flags waving this afternoon at Goldenport Park to celebrate a much-awaited moment.
It happened thanks to Rob Huff, who made a perfect race, making good an excellent use of pole position in the reversed grid and keeping control of everything during the entire race. The Brit was escorted from the beginning by Tom Coronel, who completed the excellent weekend of ROAL Motorsport, while Sébastien Loeb completed the podium, ahead of José María López, who grabbed some extra points over Yvan Muller in the title fight.
James Thompson, 6^th, gave LADA another handful of points, while Franz Engstler took another victory in TC2T recovering from a spin at mid-race.

WorldSuperSport : Victoire à domicile de Cluzel / Cluzel wins shortened wet French WSS race

Le Français s'est imposé sur drapeau rouge à Magny-Cours.

Jules Cluzel (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) a décroché sa troisième victoire de la saison dans une course qui a eu lieu sur piste mouillée à Magny-Cours et a été arrêtée par drapeau rouge au bout du douzième des dix-sept tours prévus suite à de nombreuses chutes. Le Français comptait plus de dix-huit secondes d'avance et s'était emparé de la première position après la chute de Kenan Sofuoglu (San Carlo Pucceti Racing), tombé sur une piste mouillée qui a fait de nombreuses victimes.

Michael van der Mark (Pata Honda World Supersport), le nouveau Champion du Monde Supersport, s'est assuré un nouveau podium en finissant deuxième bien qu'il ait lui aussi chuté tandis que la troisième place est revenue à un brillant Roberto Rolfo (Go Eleven Kawasaki), parti en dix-septième position.

Lorenzo Zanetti (Pata Honda World Supersport), Florian Marino (Kawasaki Intermoto Ponyexpres), qui a concédé la seconde place du classement général à Cluzel, et Kev Coghlan (DMC-Panavto Yamaha) complétaient le Top 6 à l'arrivée. 

Matt Davies (Aark Racing), ancien champion de l'European Junior Cup, disposait de sa deuxième wildcard de la saison et a marqué ses premiers points en Championnat du Monde en prenant la treizième place.

Valentin Debise (Com Plus SMS Racing) a fini dix-septième. Lucas Mahias (MG Competition) a malheureusement chuté alors qu'il luttait dans le Top 5 et a été contraint à l'abandon, à l'instar de Cédric Tangre (Yohann Moto Sport).

Action packed WSS race sees 3 manufacturers on the podium.
The penultimate round of the World Supersport championship was held in difficult conditions over a reduced race distance of 17 laps but cut short after 12 laps.

Full of drama with a number of riders crashing out, the victory eventually went in emphatic style to Frenchman Jules Cluzel (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) who claimed his third win of the year by over 18 seconds.

Newly crowned champion Michael van der Mark (Pata Honda World Supersport) finished 2nd after falling, remounting and then passing several riders to move back onto the podium on lap 10.

Roberto Rolfo (Go Eleven Kawasaki) started 17th to win a tense fight for the final podium position ahead of Lorenzo Zanetti (Pata Honda World Supersport), Florian Marino (Kawasaki Intermoto Ponyexpres), Kev Coghlan (DMC-Panavto Yamaha) who completed the top 6.

Former European Junior Cup champion Matt Davies (Aark Racing) who is making his 2nd wildcard appearance of the season, claimed a brilliant 13th to secure his first ever world championship points.
