DC presents Robbie “Maddo” Maddison’s “Pipe Dream,” giving the world a chance to witness history being made as Maddo rides his dirt bike on the powerful and iconic waves of Tahiti. From his helmet to motocross boots, Maddo was dressed for FMX when he took his dirt bike into the unchartered saltwater terrain of the Pacific Ocean in French Polynesia.
For nearly two years Robbie has been focused on making surfing on his motorbike a reality. His efforts paid off in Tahiti, where he rode the world famous waves at Teahupoo and Papara.

Zarco en position de force pour la reprise aux Etats-Unis
Le Français mène le Championnat du Monde Moto2™ avec 65 points d’avance avant l’ouverture de la seconde moitié de la saison 2015.
Suite à une première moitié de saison proche de la perfection, au cours de laquelle il n’a manqué le podium qu’une fois, en raison d’un soucis technique au Qatar, Johann Zarco (Ajo Motorsport) mène en solitaire le Championnat du Monde Moto2™ 2015 et sera l’homme à battre sur la seconde moitié de la saison et notamment cette semaine au Grand Prix Red Bull d’Indianapolis.
Avec huit podiums en neuf courses, dont trois victoires, le Français a marqué pas moins de 179 points, un record pour la catégorie Moto2™ sur les neuf premières manches d’une saison et un chiffre remarquable pour la catégorie intermédiaire, que le dernier pilote à avoir dépassé est Dani Pedrosa, en 2005. En pole position lors des trois dernières courses et vainqueur de deux d’entre elles, Zarco semble jusqu’ici invisible mais est bien conscient qu’il n’est qu’à mi-parcours et qu’il n’aura pas le droit de se relâcher sur la seconde partie de la saison.
Envoyé au tapis par Franco Morbidelli (Italtrans Racing) dans le dernier tour du dernier Grand Prix, en Allemagne, alors qu’il se battait pour une précieuse troisième place, Tito Rabat (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) avait concédé vingt points à Zarco juste avant la trêve, une semaine après s’être fracturé la clavicule droite à l’entraînement. Le Champion en titre aura profité de la trêve estivale pour récupérer de sa blessure et se ressourcer afin de se relancer à la poursuite de Zarco aux Etats-Unis.
Derrière lui dans le classement général, Sam Lowes (Speed Up Racing), Álex Rins (Páginas Amarillas HP 40), vainqueur depuis la pole à Indy en Moto3™ en 2013, et Tom Lüthi (Derendinger Racing Interwetten) pourraient eux aussi donner du fil à retordre au Français, à l’instar de Xavier Siméon (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2), qui avait justement réussi à lui résister en Allemagne pour décrocher sa toute première victoire en Grand Prix lors d’une journée historique pour la Belgique, qui a désormais trois vainqueurs en Grand Prix.
L’an dernier, l’épreuve Moto2™ du Grand Prix Red Bull d’Indianapolis avait été menée de bout en bout par Mika Kallio. En difficulté depuis qu’il a rejoint le team Italtrans Racing pour la saison 2015, le Finlandais, vice-Champion du Monde en 2014, occupe la neuvième place du classement général, derrière Jonas Folger (AGR Team) et Morbidelli, et aura à coeur de renouer avec la compétitivité sur la seconde moitié de la saison et notamment sur les quatre prochains Grands Prix, qu’il avait tous finis sur le podium l’an dernier.
Rabat ready to fight after recovering from injury, but can Zarco be caught having amassed a 65-point lead?
Indianapolis has produced dramatic results in the intermediate class, in 2008 the 250cc race was called off due to hurricane Ike hitting the Speedway. Then in 2014 the Moto2™ race was red flagged after just four laps, all riders will be hoping 2015 goes off without issue.
With 179 championship points Johann Zarco (Ajo Motosport) leads the standings, this is the most points a rider has had after the first nine races in the intermediate class since Dani Pedrosa in 2005. The Frenchman currently looks unstoppable and with such a significant lead he can avoid risks and settle for second, as he did in Germany.
The German GP saw Xavier Simeon (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) take his first ever victory in the World Championship and he now looks to become Belgium’s first ever back-to-back GP winner. This will be a tough task as Simeon has only once finished inside the top ten in Indianapolis, a best finish of ninth in 2013.
Sam Lowes (Speed Up Racing) took his first career Moto2™ World Championship victory the last time the paddock visited America. His main aim is to close the gap to Tito Rabat (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Racing), which currently stands at just seven points after Rabat’s disastrous German GP.
An overly ambitious Franco Morbidelli (Italtrans Racing) ended Rabat’s stunning comeback from injury last time out at the Sachsenring, the Spaniard having broken his collarbone just days before in a training accident. After almost three weeks away from racing, Rabat is now fully fit and eager to repeat his 2013 victory at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
