Helge Jepsen

Helge Jepsen began his career in illustrating at eight years old. Between 1974 and 1979, he had a long string of wins in drawing contests held by the little Raiffaisenbank in his North Frisian hometown of Bredstedt, Germany.

Later, magazines including Stern, Spiegel, Men’s Health, Playboy, Wirtschaftswoche, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung or ramp became aware of his talents. Since completing his studies in communications design, Jepsen has made his home in Essen, Germany. As a friend of old cars especially Shooting Brakes he is organizing „The Dukes Of Downtown“ since 2009. He owns a black and a white car. Now living in his home town El Bolson (Patagonia Argentina), he spent half of his life in Barcelona (Spain), where he studied graphic design and worked both as a designer and illustrator for a various clients. During his 18 years of experience he participated in branding, packaging and merchandising projects, and he also published a weekly comic page in a newspaper for more than 4 years.   

But his true passion has always been cars. And being a caricaturist, he can't help doing the same with cars, trying to create "cute" versions of them. To him, cars are more like characters than simple machines.
