Vincent Beltoise returns for his crankandpiston hattrick, once again aboard the Caterham Superlight R600.

Let’s put that into some perspective: a 275bhp 2.0-litre Ford Duratec powered track weapon, which thanks to its 550kg base weight and 200lb-ft of torque, hits 0-100kph in 2.6 seconds, driven by a sometime Sebastien Loeb Racing Team driver.

And, as we’ve seen before, Vincent Beltoise seems to have been born without fear. Observe then as he takes on the rally course at the Pole Mecanique of Alès, France.
