Bentley plotting four-door coupe

To rival CLS and 6-Series GranCoupe

Bentley’s CEO Wolfgang Schreiber has declared the prospects of a Continental GT-based four-door coupe are being analyzed.

Set to tackle the Mercedes-Benz CLS and BMW 6-Series GranCoupe, the four-door Bentley isn't expected before 2016. One of the reasons is because the British marque is focusing on an SUV since they believe "the market is here".

Bentley has plans of increasing sales to 15,000 units by 2018, considerably more than the 8,510 cars sold in 2012. The SUV will play an important role to reach this figure, but they do admit a four-door coupe priced at around 130,000 GBP (198,000 USD / 152,000 EUR) would help attract new clients.
