Ferrari F12 Berlinetta tackles an Airbus A320 for charity

Air Malta organized a drag race between an Airbus A320 and a Ferrari F12 Berlinettato raise funds for a charity.

The race was held on December 9, 2012 at the Malta International Airport with the purpose of raising money for the Paqpali Ghall-Istrina charity organized annually. Although weather conditions were far from being ideal, hundreds of people gathered to see the interesting race and helped the organizers raise 178,820 EUR. One of the star visitors was 2008 Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Behind the wheel of the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta was Christopher Sultana while the Airbus A320 was piloted by Patrick Calleja, with the assistance of Mark Attard and Alan Farrugia
