Vaughn Gittin Jr. shows his 845 bhp Ford Mustang RTR

Vaughn Gittin Jr. has revealed his Formula Drift contender for this year, a 2014 Ford Mustang RTR.

The car tips the scales at only 1,315 kg (2,900 lbs) and generates 845 bhp (630 kW). It wears the Monster Energy livery with styling cues from WWI dazzle-camo battle ships and benefits from a carbon fiber body, along with 18-inch alloy wheels.

It has been fitted with a four-speed dog-box transmission, a five-inch Magnaflow racing muffler, Recaro seats, custom clutch and a six-point Takata harness. The car was built by Autosport Dynamics and is scheduled to make its racing debut on April 12-13 during the inaugural race of the 2013 Formula Drift in Long Beach, California.
