When RM Auctions and Sotheby's get together to bring you a joint auction entitled 'Art of the Automobile', to take place in New York City, you're going to expect something pretty special. The first lots have now been announced...
On 21 November, these two prestigious auction houses will be celebrating the historical significance of the automobile - so the catalogue will bring you motor cars revered for their design, technology and innovation. Hence we find such important classics as a 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, as well as design icons that include a 1938 Talbot Lago T150 C SS Teardrop Coupé, racing legends such as the 1964 Ferrari 250 LM, and exceptional concepts and prototypes - among them the 1963 Chevrolet CERV II (where CERV stands for Chevrolet Engineering Research Vehicle). Any potential vendor with a classic that might suit this very special sale is invited to contact RM to discuss the car with the auction house's experts. More information and contact details can be found at rmauctions.com.
