Top temptations from Artcurial’s 2014 Le Mans Classic auction

Held every two years, the Le Mans Classic not only plays host to some stunning nostalgic racing, but also an Artcurial auction. Many of the cars to be found in this year’s lotlist would be in contention for a 2016 grid spot – here we choose our favourites…

Nestled within the 105-car-strong lotlist of this year’s Artcurial sale are several racing machines with authentic Le Mans provenance, including the 1964 AC Cobra and a quirky Panhard which saw action at La Sarthe on no fewer than three occasions. But our selection not only includes those almost certain to warrant an invitation to the 2016 Classic; we’ve also chosen a few road racers to get you there that have the style to match their speed.
