On devrait assister à un nouveau duel entre le Champion du monde en titre, Thomas Chareyre (TM – Michelin) et son challenger, Mauno Hermunen (SHR – TM).
Auteur d’un superbe doublé il y a trois semaines en Italie, Thomas Chareyre a pris les commandes du général pour seulement trois points sur son grand rival Mauno Hermunen.
Le Finlandais a rencontré des difficultés lors de la précédente épreuve. Qualifié en deuxième position derrière le Français, il a complétement raté son départ lors de la première course et a dû se contenter de la cinquième place sous le drapeau à damier. En seconde manche, une erreur de pilotage l’a privé de la victoire et l’a relégué à la deuxième place.
Troisième au classement provisoire, Ivan Lazzarini (L30 Racing - Honda), évoluant une nouvelle fois à domicile, devra défendre sa position face au jeune Lukas Hoellbacher (Husqvarna). Les deux pilotes ne sont séparés que de trois points. L’Autrichien a réalisé un bon début de saison où il est monté à trois reprises sur la troisième marche du podium en quatre courses.
Deuxième et quatrième lors de la deuxième épreuve,Pavel Kejmar (Husqvarna), cinquième au général, est également un sérieux candidat au podium.
The European Grand Prix, round three of the FIM Supermoto World Championship, visits Busca, Italy, this week-end.It promises to produce another close fight between the reigning champion Thomas Chareyre (TM -Michelin) and his challenger, Mauno Hermunen (SHR – TM).Following his assertive double win three weeks ago in Italy, Thomas Chareyre is three points clear of the Finn in the 2015 title chase.Hermunen had trouble at the last round after qualifying second behind the Frenchman. A poor start for Race 1 meant he had to settle for fifth at the flag. Then, in Race 2, an error cost him any chance of victory and he ended up second.Third in the championship is Ivan Lazzarini (L30 Racing - Honda) who will be on home soil again. He will face opposition from the young Lukas Hoellbacher (Husqvarna) who trails him by just three points. The Austrian has started the season well with three podium finishes from four starts.Pavel Kejmar (Husqvarna) is fifth after coming second and fourth at the last meeting and is another likely challenger for a top-three result
