Pavel Kejmar (Husqvarna) a signé ses deux premières victoires de la saison en s’imposant à Chachagui en Colombie lors de l’avant-dernière épreuve du Championnat du monde FIM SuperMoto.
Ivan Lazzarini (L30 Racing – Honda) a pris un très bon départ lors de la première course et a mené les cinq premiers tours.
Auteur de la pole position, Thomas Chareyre (TM – Michelin) n’a pas réussi à conserver l’avantage et a d’abord rétrogradé à la deuxième place au premier tour puis à la troisième position dès la deuxième boucle. Il n’est pas parvenu à revenir sur les deux pilotes de tête et a dû se contenter de la troisième place sous le drapeau à damier.
Pavel Kejmar a pris les commandes au sixième tour pour ne plus les quitter jusqu’à l’arrivée. Il devance de plus d’une seconde Lazzarini.
Le national de l’étape, Valerio Piedrahita Ocampo (Suzuki) a créé la surprise en terminant quatrième devant de nombreux fans. Christian Ravaglia (Assomotor – Honda- Michelin) est remonté à la cinquième place suite à une chute à la 8ème position.
La seconde course a été nettement moins animée. Pavel Kejmar a pris la tête dès le départ et l’a conservé jusqu’à l’arrivée. Derrière les positions n’ont pas évolué.
Thomas Chareyre a maintenu la deuxième place devant Ivan Lazzarini alors que Christian Ravaglia a terminé quatrième devant un Colombien, David Burbano.
Thomas Chareyre conserve la tête du classement provisoire mais ne compte que 13 points d’avance sur Ivan Lazzarni. Grâce son doublé, Pavel Kejmar se hisse à la troisième place avec respectivement 42 et 29 points de retard sur Chareyre et Lazzarini.

Race 1 saw Ivan Lazzarini (L30 Racing-Honda) get away well to lead for the first five laps. Pole-sitter Thomas Chareyre (TM-Michelin) was slower off the line and was down ton third by the end of Lap 2. He managed to catch the leading pair again but had to settle for the last step of the podium at the flag.
Kejmar emerged in front on Lap 6 and held on to beat Lazzarini by more than a second.
Local star Valerio Piedrahita Ocampo (Suzuki) caused a surprise by coming fourth in front of home fans. Christian Ravaglia (Assomotor-Honda-Michelin) recovered from a fall to end up fifth.
The second race was less dramatic. Kejmar took a flag-to-flag victory and there were no changes further down the order, either.
Second-placed Chareyre kept Lazzarini at a respectable distance, while Ravaglia was fourth this time, pursued by Colombia’s David Burbano.
Thomas Chareyre continues to top the championship standings but is now only 13 points clear of Lazzarini. Kejmar’s double-whammy has promoted him to third, 42 points off the leader.
