24H BARCELONA | THE BEAUTY OF THE NIGHT

It is twelve o’clock and we are twelve hours into a race that started at twelve and will end at twelve.

The A6 class, overall order, and Mercedes 1-2-3 is #30 (Ram Racing), #2 (HP Motorsport) (-4 laps); #10 Hofor Racing (-3 laps).

    SP-X (all Lamborghini Hurracan), 1st, #13 Sportec (4th overall), 2nd, #22 Leipert (-9 laps)

    997 (all Porsche), 1st, #17 Ruffier (5th overall), 2nd, #54 Drivex (-3 laps), 3rd, #56 Classica Motors (-1 lap).

SP2, 1st, #91 MARC Cars Australia (9th overall), 2nd, #92 MARC Cars Australia (same lap), others far down. Note that the #149 Corvette lost the class lead after having stopped off course.

A3T, 1st, #98 NKPP Racing Seat, 2nd, #95 Memac Ogilvy Duel Racing Seat (-3 laps), others far down. Note that the two Team Altran Peugeots, usually strong in this class, are having a bad weekend.

SP3, 1st, #43 APO Sport Porsche (regained class lead), 2nd, #178 CWS Ginetta (-3 laps), 3rd, #160 Cor Euser Racing Lotus (-2 laps), close 4th, #165 Vantage Racing Aston Martin.

A5, 1st, #146 Saxon Motorsport BMW, #78 WEC Motorsport BMW, many laps down.

A2, 1st, #115 Team K-Rejser Peugeot (has led from start), 2nd #119 Milan Competition Peugeot, many laps down.

D1, #137 Kaukas Volkswagen—many many laps ahead of rivals. I pity the track announcer who gets to read the winning drivers’ names—a tongue-twisting soup of Lithuanians.

There is still a fair sized crowd on hand. During the day a large number of families were enjoying the grandstands and the paddock. Now as we go past midnight that has given way to dating couples strolling around the grounds. All in all there is a nice friendly feel to the event
