Above the door of the Beirut Cafe Racers garage is a chalkboard sign that reads “In Benzin Veritas” - Truth in Gasoline. Founded in 2014 by two young motorcycle enthusiasts - Rami Bishara and Ali Wehbe - Beirut Cafe Racers has in one-year become a hub for riders attracted to the no-nonsense approach of the shop owners - and the stripped down attitudes of the cafe racer culture. Filmmakers Jackson Allers and Andrew Cagle trace a 2-month arc on the build-out of a Yamaha SR400 as a backdrop to the more poignant story of the challenges and triumphs Rami and Ali face building such bikes in Lebanon.
