Golden-era motorsport art rolls into Portugal’s Museu do Caramulo

A new exhibition dedicated to the work of talented young American motorsport artist Alex Wakefield has opened at the Museu do Caramulo in Portugal…

As we discovered previously, Wakefield’s art often makes use of freedom in the interpretation of different points of view, portraying memorable scenes from angles that would have been impossible to capture with a camera. Now, the Iowa-born artist’s style is being recognised across Europe and beyond, and the Museu do Caramulo in Portugal is currently playing host to the first exhibition dedicated solely to his work, entitled ‘Speed Lines’. It runs until 19 June 2016; further information can be found at the Museu do Caramulo website.
