    A rare 1953 Ferrari 340/375 MM Berlinetta Competizione was sold at an auction for 9.850.000 EUR.

    One of the three cars that competed in the 1953 24 Hours of Le Mans went under the hammer at RM Auctions, together with other Ferrari models such as the 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo and the track-only 599XX. The winner who took home the 340/375 MM Berlinetta Competizione is allegedly from UK and has several other Ferraris in his garage, including the breathtaking 250 GTO.
    1953 Ferrari 340/375 MM Berlinetta Competizione
    The car is powered by a V12 4.5-liter engine producing 340 bhp (253 kW), mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. With a design penned by Pininfarina, the 340/375 MM Berlinetta Competizione is the only Ferrari works car known to be driven by world champions Alberto Ascari, Dr. Nino Farina and Mike Hawthorn.
