    1978 CB750

This glorious sparkling red 1978 CB750 was built three years ago by Grant Salter and Jesse Greening of Café Fabrications in Nashville – Tennessee (USA). They built this bike for themselves, but it’s now on sale on e-bay andInazuma took the chance to go into the details of it for the readers.

“We built this bike about three years ago out of boredom from our day jobs. The bike was purchased in Alabama and was a running and drivable bike at the time. It had nearly 17000 miles on it before I took it off the owners hands. Since then the bike has taken on a whole new life / transformation. All the parts you see were built and installed by us. The frame was de-tabbed and all the original welds re-worked and then body worked for a clean and smooth finish. The paint work was also done by us. The frame is a base coat clear coat satin finish. There is no powder coat anywhere on this bike. We believe you will never good the quality with powder coating that you can with a properly prepped single stage paint. The Red on the bike is also sprayed by us. We used all Glasurit products to paint the bike with”.

“When we started this build we were very disappointed in the parts available to the aftermarket Cafe crowd. We never intended on making all our own stuff it just happened. What was suppose to be a quick and inexpensive build turned into what you see here. It took us nearly 500 hrs to build this bike. There is another 100 hrs in machine time in all the parts on the bike. There is also 130 hrs of design time in the CAD work for all the pieces. We went so far as to machine our own wheels for the bike as well. It's Cafe Fabrications take on the Comstar wheel. We like to call it the Comstar II”.

The bike is currently on sale on E-bay
