Since the arrival of air-conditioning, we’ve enjoyed cool, comfortable motoring on even the hottest days of summer. But photographer Michael Stonis has returned us to the golden age, when climate control was an analogue affair of winding down windows and losing layers…
Our pretty blonde protagonist is clearly suffering from the stifling heat, and you can bet those thick brown seats aren’t ideal for a summer’s day siesta. But at least she and her friends have dressed for the occasion, ready to be captured by California-based photographer Michael Stonis. This got us thinking – have we finally found the real reason for today’s (otherwise largely pointless) dual-zone climate control systems?
