Breslau Poland: The truck-legends are back - scrutineering - Ford Ranger.

Saturday midday: The "Breslau Poland" rally has started with the technical scrutineering. 66 cars, 28 trucks, 17 bikes and 17 SSV signed in for the race, which will take place from 13-19th July 2014 in the north-west of Poland around the cities Recz, Drawsko Pomorskie and Borne Sulinowo.

The race itself will start on Sunday with two stages: In the morning the competitors have to handle a "warm up" of 71 kilometers timed section, followed by the legendary night-stage called "Lazer Night Flights" and 58 kms. In the following days, 1108 kms timed section are waiting for the participants - the longest stage will be on Thursday (280 kms).

As in every year, the competitors are a great mix between amateurs and experts - some "5000 Euro Cars" will mess with "150.000 Euro" cars - same in the trucks. Especially in the trucks we will see a great battle between the "Baja Deutschland" winner Leon de Wit from Holland (Mercedes-Scania prototype), Ton Stoker (Holland, Iveco), Ales Loprais (Tatra, Czech Republic) and many more.

And we also have two "legends": The former Breslau winners Peter Niedergesaess (Scania, Germany) - who has his rally-comeback after a long break - and the German truck-expert and "Wetten Dass" television-star Udo Heidenreich (Mercedes Unimog).

Next to many interesting rallycars, especially from France, the big surprise in the cars is the former winner Robert Kufel from Poland: He will celebrate the "world-premiere" of his own-build Ford Ranger. The car looks like the factory-Ford from South Africa, but is "100% Polish" - and powered by a diesel-engine. Stay tuned this week for a great rally in Poland!

Also interesting: The "Volkswagen T3 Rallyvan" of Bernd Jäger (the car looks like a former postal-van - but the yellow colour is officially "Porsche Yellow"), Hanna Sobota from Poland (Mitsubishi Pajero T2), the Hungarian built Opel Antara RR of the Bulgarian Petar Cenkov (winner of the Balkan Breslau), Cedric Porcher from France (Toyota Prototype) or trophy-legend Jim "Gigglepin" Marsden from the UK with his extreme Land Rover...
