The Citroën DS3 WRC with registration number BN 404 MV (chassis number 17) boasts an enviable record in the FIA World Rally Championship, according to the records of www.ewrc.com.
Its first outing – in the hands Sébastien Loeb – saw it finish on the highest step of the podium in front of the prince’s palace in Monaco in January 2012. Still with the nine-time world champion behind the wheel, it went on to win last year’s visits to Mexico, Greece, Germany, France and Spain!
Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena steered it to more success on the 2013 Rallye Monte-Carlo 2013, its seventh straight victory!
It was then allocated to Dani Sordo for March’s Rally Guanajuato Mexico (4th) before notching up another first place in Argentina with Sébastien Loeb. After coming fourth in Sardinia, Dani Sordo ended up collecting his first world class victory last weekend with this lucky Citroën DS3 WRC in Germany.
Meanwhile, in the space of one year, the Ford Fiesta RS WRC bearing the registration number PX12 CPZ (chassis number 32) that Thierry Neuville had in Germany also boasts a fine record. It was second on the Rallye Deutschland last summer in the hands of Jari-Matti Latvala, and second again in France and Spain. This year, it has so far scooped five podium finishes for Thierry Neuville, in Mexico, Greece, Sardinia, Finland and Germany.
For the moment, its only win has been with MotoGP star Valentino Rossi in control at the Monza Rally Show…

Après une 4eplace en Sardaigne, Dani Sordo a fini par remporter son 1er rallye mondial au volant de cette Citroën DS3 WRC « porte-bonheur » !
En un an, la Ford Fiesta RS WRC immatriculée PX12 CPZ que pilotait Thierry Neuville en Allemagne s’est également forgé un beau palmarès. Le châssis n°32 avait débuté par une 2eplace au Rallye d’Allemagne 2012 avec Jari-Matti Latvala, suivie par deux autres 2e places en France et en Espagne. Cette Ford est confiée à Thierry Neuville depuis le début de saison 2013 et a décroché cinq podiums : Mexique, Acropole, Sardaigne, Finlande et Allemagne. Pour l’heure, sa seule victoire lui a été offerte par Valentino Rossi au Monza Rally Show.
