As highly expected - see our previous post - Ducati has officially announced that Francis Battta will be running their Superbike team for the next two seasons under the banner “Team Ducati Alstare.”
The biggest suprise of the statement is that former BMW Italia rider Ayrton Badovini has been chosen to partner Carlos Checa in the 2013 championship, which leaves Sylvain Guintoli who Batta said he wanted on the second 1199 Panigale, probably heading to Aprilia to replace retired Max Biaggi.
The new Team Ducati Alstare will be testing at Aragon on 14-15 November and then at Jerez from 28-30 November.
