The guys at Garage Project Motorcycles downunda may seem to be relatively new kids on the block when it comes to building, but I love their bikes, their attitude and they way they tell it.
They’ve always been inspired by neighbors, Deus ex Machina but I think their work stands up for itself, and even the story of their first build shows an attention to detail and quality – as well as good taste - that needs no comparisons.
Like Deus they chose the custom-builder’s favourite; the W650, as their first project.
The build started back in August 2009 with the intention of creating a flat tracker with modified frame, custom exhaust and tank, revitalised engine, upgraded suspension and brakes, rebuilt wheels and a head-turning paintjob – complete with pinup babe.
What followed was all of that, and a whole lot more motorcyle goodness.
