    HONDA CB750 COPPER CAFE RACER

This is the second post in close succession from Robinson’s Speed Shop as they have produced so many great builds I couldn’t just choose one to post about. This stunning Honda CB750 Copper Cafe Racer is a beast finished in some very shiny copper and gold with fine black leather seat. The big engine from the CB750pokes out from the frame to a mass of exhaust pipes wrapped in a dark heat shield tape with all four pipes gloriously meeting together into one.
It looks like a brute of a bikes and with everything removed that isn’t needed in true cafe racer style I bet the power to weight ratio is insane and goes like a rat up a drainpipe. It’s a great combination to have gold forks and a copper tank you don’t need to do anything else apart from black. Perfect choice of wheels and tyres finish the bike of to the usual high standard I come to expect from these guys.
Great location for a photo shoot as well guy’s. All that grime and graffiti reflecting of the copper tank looks awesome and really shows of the Honda CB750 Copper Cafe Racer.
I like pushing local British talent hence why I have done a few posts about RSS. If you would like you custom motorcycle build posting about on Moto Verso then just get in touch and send me through some information. Show off… you’ve done all the hard work why not!

HONDA CB750 CAFE BUILD – IRON BY MOTOCICLETTE CHEMICAL GARAGE

Motociclette Chemical Garage have created this gorgeous Honda CB750 Cafe Build called Iron. It’s a cool name for a wicked looking steampunk inspired build. You can see this fitting into a good old fashioned smelting plant with iron sparks firing everywhere. The craftsmanship that has gone into this build is unbelievable. With cooper ascent parts and raw polished naked metal on show gives the full story and proves all the hard work that gone into this.
The fairing is gorgeous, finely crafted by the guy’s at Motociclette Chemical Garage. I love the copper edging around the front light and also the triangle the starts the flow of the bike. This has a classic vintage look of the old Triton cafe racers, I love fairings at the moment they really do bring a bike together and set them apart from over bikes on the road. The fact that this bike hasn’t been painted or polished is perfect it shows of all the small details and all the effort put in by these guys to hand build each part. It’s one sweet looking machine.
The tank is simply stunning, with an old school vintage cap complete with leather strap to keep things down when your flying. It sits on even more copper which really brings out the tank cap not to mention looking amazing. I like the fact that the finish isn’t perfect, it makes it much more honest and certainly far more desirable to own and ride. It’s a piece of automotive art that belongs in a gallery but you;d just want to ride it whenever you got the chance.
Motociclette Chemical Garage is a new garage in the heart of Romagna, Italy.

    M&M CUSTOMS HONDA CB550

    Honda CB550 cafe racer
It’s getting harder and harder to impress with a Honda CB custom these days. But this very sharp 1974 CB550, from the Kentucky shop M&M Customs, proves there’s still life in the old dog.
M&M (not to be confused with the Japanese shop with a similar name) is run by Mike McFadden. Like all the best custom builders, Mike is a detail freak—and his cafe racer, nicknamed ‘El Dora,’ is a fine showcase for his skills.
    Honda CB550 cafe racer
Mike spotted the Honda in his local classifieds, offered for sale by a teenager who’d been using the machine as a vintage motocrosser. The bike checked out fine, so Mike handed over the cash and started work.

The first step was a complete tear-down. Mike does everything himself, from engine rebuilding to paint work, and he decided to make this custom a “vintage racer with a cafe influence.” To boost power, Mike installed Keihin CR carburetors and coils and ignition from Dyna. The pipes were also made in his shop, by blending the stock head pipes together to form a 2-into-1 setup on both sides.

Mike replaced the worn-out rear shocks with Hagons, and fitted Loaded Gun rearsets to custom mounts. Then he cut off the entire rear subframe, and changed the lines of the bottom tubes to give a more modern-looking aesthetic.
A Dunstall-style tank adds a retro vibe, matched to a seat and tail section from Dime City Cycles that also hides the battery and a lot of the wiring. Some fettling was required to line up the tail section with the new tank, so Mike modified the tail to his liking.

“The whole thing was flowing well and I just couldn’t bring myself to muck up the lines with a bolt on tail lamp,” he says. “Thus the ‘Urinal Trap’ brake lamp was born. If you look at it (below) you can see where the idea came from…”

And the #18? It’s in support of Mike’s relative Nick McFadden, an up-and-coming 15-year-old who has just won the 2012 WERA 600cc Superstock National Challenge Championship. I have a feeling that we’ll be hearing more of the McFadden family in the years to come.
Head over to the M&M Customs website to see more of Mike’s super-stylish builds.

DSR Honda GP 250R Cafe Racer by Darrell Schneider

DSR Honda GP 250R Cafe Racer by Darrell Schneider
There are many people in the world who think and work for concepts such as creativity and inspiration. Someone just refuses to awaken a creative flair, others just watching what happens around, sometimes allowing himself momentarily distracted from everyday life, but there are people who live on this and generating unusual ideas and awakening into new talents. The latter, Darrell Schneider of DS Restorations allowed himself after 25 years experience of restoration cars and switch to take the motorcycle on which he previously could just ride in them periodically pouring gasoline.

As a start Darrell decided to build around Cafe Racer crossover CRF250R. To come up with the motorcycle design, he literally searched through all of Google and down, looking at hundreds of different designs from famous artists such as Ron Woods, Roland Sands, Richard Pollack & Marcus Motos. He designed a new motorcycle that was called DSR GP 250R Cafe Racer.
    DSR GP 250R Cafe Racer
CRF250R four-stroke motocross engine Darrell sat in an aluminum frame-house, which he, along with all the associated elements of the motorcycle, such as the frame, seat, battery case, the frame trim tank and tail, very own metal. RaceTech Suspension and Front suspension got on perfectly cast as the rear shock from an expert on motorcycles for mud racing Durelle Racing – together they keep the bike on the 17-inch wheels Sun, wearing tires Michelin. As for the exhaust, it is installed on a motorcycle titanium system from Arrow Special Parts, has lost one of the cans – Darrell just do not like how “fat” looking bikes with dual exhaust behind.

Let the result looks unusual, but it was such a mixture of various styles and technologies, expressed in Cafe Racer DSR GP 250R Cafe Racer is creativity, which we mentioned at the beginning of the note. Darrell did not wish to stop here and continue to develop the talents!
