Confirmed by Vice President Of Marketing Brian Smith
Lexus' Vice President of Marketing, Brian Smith, has confirmed a production version of the 2012 LF-LC concept.
The concept debuted at last year's NAIAS in Detroit as a hybrid 2+2 sport coupe with a spindle grille, vertical fog lamps and L-shaped daytime running lights. It also had a glass roof, quad exhaust setup and afterburner tail lamps. The LF-LC had a rear-wheel drive, front-engine layout with an Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive system.
It's not known where the model will be slotted in the firm's lineup but most likely it will be more expensive than most of them and available in limited quantities. Another mystery revolves around what will power the production model since Lexus could ditch the hybrid setup of the concept.
Smith added Lexus will still have several holes in its lineup to fill, hinting at future crossovers and SUVs which are increasingly popular all over the world.
