Goes on sale next spring
Fiat has unveiled the 500 1957 Edition, ahead of its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Drawing inspiration from the original Cinquecento (aka Nuova 500), the 1957 Edition is based on the 500 Lounge and features a retro exterior that is available in three classic colors: Bianco (white), Verde Chiaro (light green) and Celeste (celestial blue). The car also has a Bianco roof, a sport-tuned suspension and exclusive 16-inch wheels with all-season performance tires.
The cabin is elegantly appointed with Marrone (brown) leather seats, metallic accents and a premium audio system. The car also has a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a unique key fob with a Marrone casing and Avorio-painted "1957" graphic.
Motivation is provided by a 1.4-liter MultiAir engine that develops 101 bhp (75 kW) and 98 lb-ft (132 Nm) of torque. It can be connected to a five-speed manual transmission or an optional six-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2014 Fiat 500 1957 Edition will go on sale next spring and pricing will be announced closer to launch.
