    Smokey Joe

We here a Deus love building bikes, but we really dig building a bike for one of the boys. One they can load up and pillage the island’s on. And that’s what we did for Ellis Ericson.
Now a year ago when Ellis first got to the island he picked up this cruisy little clunker of a 76 CB100. Nothing flash, just something to get him around town and to the surf. A bike one sees on the street all the time, but would never notice as it rolled by- until now.
Ellis always new he was going to do something with his bike but was never quite sure how to go about it, well, we do. Ellis left us for a few months on a surf and shaping bonanza, and while he was gone we rolled it in the Benkel and went to work. Now I could go down the list of modifications we’ve preformed like, Ventura flat track bars, refurbished Honda S90 tank, Yamaha S SX front shocks and triple trees, SR400 rear shock, Swallow 18’ tires sitting on alloy rims and a Deus custom seat for comfortable long hauls. But why, take a gander for your self. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then what more do you need. Better yet when you see this mean machine rolling hard with a guy looking like Suzie Quarto in board shorts, followed by a trail of foam dust, that would be Ellis on “Smokey Joe” no longer rolling un-noticed…
