Leica has revealed its first full-frame mirror-less camera with interchangeable lenses, a move that’s sure to whip bearded Leica-wielding enthusiasts the world over into a frenzy…
Designed for professional photographers, the beautifully minimalist SL (type 601) camera uses a 24-megapixel CMOS sensor, and is also able to shoot in 4K video at 24/30 frames per second. Set to be released in November, the price for the body together with the standard 24-90 zoom lens (others will become available) will be 11,500 US dollars – a strong price, especially in comparison to similar mirror-less camera systems on the market. A thing of beauty, we're sure the price won't detract from the Leica hardcore.
