Cars and motorcycles are becoming even more entwined as manufacturers decide to launch special editions, and Alfa Romeo has opted to celebrate their long collaboration with the World Superbike championship (they are one of top sponsors of the series and also supply the official safety cars - first the MiTo and this year the Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde) by premiering at the Paris Motor Show (September 29th - October 14th), the MiTo SBK Limited Edition and the MiTo Superbike Special Series.
Only 200 units of MiTo SBK Limited Edition will be built and are equipped with a 170-hp, turbocharged 1.4-liter inline-four engine and will show-off new rocker panels, diffuser, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and red-painted Brembo calipers and inside the car will sport a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob with contrasting red stitching, Sabelt-sourced front seats with wraparound carbon-fiber detailing, and a numbered plaque on the dashboard. It will be available in either black or red, with the roof in black, red, or white.
The second MiTo edition model is the Superbike (SBK) Special Series and will be available in the entire engine range (except for the 1.4 liter 70 PS and 1.4 liter 170 PS) and has some of the features of the SBK Limited Edition version.
