Invaincu en salle depuis 2010, Toni Bou a poursuivi sa série de victoires en s'imposant lors de la première manche 2015 à Sheffield (Grande-Bretagne), première épreuve du Championnat du monde X Trial 2015. Il devance Albert Cabestany (Sherco/Michelin) et Adam Raga (Gas Gas/Michelin).
Intouchable, Toni Bou a remporté la première épreuve de la saison 2015 du Championnat de Trial Indoor et ajoute une 27ème victoire à son palmarès. « Je suis vraiment heureux de la façon dont l’année commence. J’étais un peu nerveux et je voulais attaquer fort. Nous avons travaillé très dur ces derniers mois et je suis vraiment heureux que le travail accompli porte ses fruits. »
Les qualifications inauguraient un nouveau format réunissant les huit meilleurs pilotes avec six zones à franchir. A l’issue de cette séance, les quatre pilotes sélectionnés se sont affrontés dans une série de courses pour déterminer l’ordre de passage lors de la finale.
Toni Bou a terminé premier et a ainsi pu voir évoluer ses adversaires. Bien qu'il se soit élancé en premier, Raga était le plus proche du champion en titre avant de commettre deux erreurs dans les zones trois et quatre.
Cabestany en profitait alors pour prendre et conforter sa deuxième place, même s'il restait bien en retrait de Bou.
Fajardo, de son côté, n'a jamais vraiment pu se remettre d'une erreur commise au début de cette finale et n'a cessé de courir après le podium.

The unbeatable Toni Bou won the first Indoor event of the new year to add a 27th victory to his extraordinary record. “I’m delighted with the way the year has started. I felt a little anxious and I wanted to push hard. We’ve been working very hard these past few months and I was really pleased to see that work pay off.”
A new qualifying format has been introduced, with the top eight riders having to complete six zones before the best four take each other on to decide the final’s running order.
Toni Bou came first and was consequently able to watch the efforts of his rivals. Despite being the first to run, Raga came closest to the defending champion before making errors in zones three and four.
These two mistakes allowed Cabestany to claim second place in Bou’s wake.
Fajardo’s podium hopes were dealt a blow by a destabilising early error.
