Barum Czech rally Zlín :Stunning new-look Fiesta R5 for ERC winner Lukyanuk

WOW! This is the stunning Pirelli-shod Ford Fiesta R5 that Alexey Lukyanuk and co-driver Alexey Arnautov will contest this week’s Barum Czech Rally Zlín in.

The pair won the high-speed gravel auto24 Rally Estonia in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, and we can’t wait to see their new-look Fiesta R5 fly over the Czech Tarmac stages!

And we won’t have long to wait, as round seven of the 2015 FIA European Rally Championship starts on Friday.

En Allemagne, la Volkswagen Polo R WRC a remporté le seul rallye mondial qui manquait à son palmarès, et sa 30^e victoire sur 35 rallyes WRC disputés !

Rallye Deutschland was the only world championship round the Volkswagen Polo R WRC had yet to win. Sunday’s victory took its score to 30 wins from 35 WRC starts!

Avec cette 30^e victoire, Sébastien Ogier rejoint Marcus Grönholm à la 2^e place du palmarès mondial, loin derrière Sébastien Loeb (78). La France reprend l’avantage sur la Finlande, 175 à 174.

Jari-Matti Latvala n’est toujours pas parvenu à remporter un second rallye WRC consécutif, mais il a décroché son 50^e podium mondial.

A 104,1 km/h de moyenne, Seb Ogier a remporté le Rallye d’Allemagne le plus rapide depuis 2002.

Vainqueur sortant du Rallye d’Allemagne, Nicolas Gilsoul disputait ce week-end son 50^e rallye WRC. Ses débuts remontent au Rallye Monte-Carlo 2007 sur une Mitsubishi (copilote de Luc Dewinter).

                             

Ogier’s 30^th world class victory makes him the second-most successful driver in WRC history, level with Marcus Grönholm. The record (78) is still with Sébastien Loeb, however. France has gone back ahead of Finland in terms of wins by nationality (175 vs 174).

Jari-Matti Latvala claimed his 50^th WRC podium finish but still hasn’t managed to win two events in a row.

This year’s Rallye Deutschland was the fastest since 2002. Ogier won at an average speed of 104.1kph.

Thierry Neuville’s co-driver Nicolas Gilsoul started his 50^th WRC event in Germany. His first was the 2007 Rallye Monte-Carlo in a Mitsubishi alongside Luc Dewinter.

Volkswagen Motorsport’s Facebook page reached the five-million fans mark at 3:03pm on Sunday. The team’s guests during the weekend were VfL Wolfburg soccer players and the rock group Revolverheld.

Les organisateurs ont estimé le nombre de spectateurs à 225 000. Beaucoup de fans du Nord-Est de la France avait fait le déplacement puisqu’ils n’auront pas l’occasion d’admirer les WRC au Rallye d’Alsace cette année.

Daniel Barritt, copilote d’Elfyn Evans, a fêté ses 34 ans dimanche avec une 6^e place au classement général.

The organisers put spectator numbers at 225,000. They included a big contingent from northeastern France who won’t be able to enjoy WRC action this year in Alsace.

Les promoteurs de tous les rallyes mondiaux ainsi qu’une délégation sud-coréenne ont été invités à participer à un atelier de travail sur la promotion du WRC à l’occasion du Rallye d’Allemagne.

L’une des deux BMW 120 diesel engagées à l’ADAC Rallye Deutschland, est sortie violemment de la route dans Stein&Wein (ES18). Alexander Herrmann et Olivier Steinmacher ont été transportés à l’hôpital.

Toyota a pour habitude de présenter ses modèles de compétition lors du Rallye d’Allemagne (Yaris R1, GT-86…). Cette année, c’est une Toyota Mirai préparée « rallye » qui officiait comme voiture VIP. Cette voiture roule à l’hydrogène (aucun rejet polluant) et son moteur électrique à pile à combustible affiche 150 chevaux pour une autonomie comparable aux véhicules à essence.

Toyota has a habit of introducing new competition cars at Rallye Deutschland (Yaris R1, GT-86, etc.). This year, it revealed a ‘rally-prepared’ Toyota Mirai which served as VIP car. It runs on emissions-free hydrogen and its motor is accredited with an output of 150hp for a range equivalent to that of a petrol car.

L’Italien Andrea Crugnola (Renault Clio R3) et l’Allemand Marijan Griebel (Opel Adam R3) ont remporté les catégories RC3 et RC4 et terminent devant Romain Dumas (Porsche, vainqueur R-GT) qui a perdu beaucoup de temps dans l’ES16 pour changer une roue.

Ghislain de Mévius, fils de Grégoire (double champion du monde GrN, 1991 et 1992), a remporté la 4^e manche du DMack Fiesta Trophy 2015. C’est le 4^e vainqueur différent cette année.
