Cabrio unlikely, hotter version possible
Land Rover's design chief Gerry McGovern wants frequent updates for the Range Rover Evoque and several derivatives.
During the New York Auto Show he mentioned the Evoque has to be kept fresh in reference not only to its design, but also to new materials, finishes and technologies. McGovern wants to replace the practice of brining mid-life updates with a more continual improvement.
There will also be new derivatives of the Evoque, but it's highly unlikely to see a production version of the cabrio concept showcased last year in Geneva. He did suggest a more powerful variant of the Evoque is very probable.
As a reminder, the latest update introduced for the Range Rover Evoque is the nine-speed automatic gearbox developed by ZF.
