CAFÉ RACER 76: THE PATRIOT 2 – BUELL ULYSSES XB12X ’07

Kustomfest Event that has been held on October 2014, encourage Bro Amal to registering his ace and newly-fresh from the oven, 2007 Buell Ulysses XB12X, to join the competition. “I think, just change the body paint should be enough bro, and adding the little parts, because this Buell has already frightening looks” that was Bro Amal said when visited STUDIO MOTOR WORKSHOP. New airbrush concept which already confirmed and few parts that will be replaced based on Bro Amal requested. Next to the process at executing the plan for “The PATRIOT 2″.

The suspension and wheel still used the past model, only coating the wheels to change polish chrome color replaced to black color, to emphasize the frightening theme. The biggest process of it, is to replace the previous red-white dominant for brownish color with leather look style with airbrush painting. Then, top of the gas tank coated with classic white with picture of rider that ride crossing through the road using cafe racer bike, done it with pencil drawing technique. For the painting and varnish material we were using Sikkens. “Incredible airbrush, I love it! ….” said Bro Amal when saw his motor after repainted. JUTE was chosen for the front head lamp, and the sign lamp used Bike Master.

After finished to make over Buell Ulysses XB12X, this bike immediately was used to ride over from Jakarta to Jogjakarta (538km/334,3miles approx.) for following Kustomfest event 2014. Because an unique power of Buell, with it’s riding position more suitable with city riding style, we finally decide to stop at 1/3 way to Jogja. Although it wasn’t finished, this bike that we built from scratch, is proven that completely safe and ridiable, safety is number one for us. Café Racer style with tough classic theme and simple looks was absorbing many enthusiasts and praises from Kustomfest event visitors, a great festival of Indonesian Custom.
